Lenin museum Gorky

Lenin museum in Gorky was designed in late 60's, by great Russian architect Leonid Pavlov, but construction began only in late 80-s. This is a great example of Russian modernist heritage.

Main entrance is brutal and fancy at the same time, it even remained me of archaic architecture.

 Originally it was Designed to be in red Armenian tuff stone with thin walls in with marble. But due to unknown circumstances the colors came out other way round.

Considering its age and political situation in Russia in 90's, the museum is in a party good and original condition.

All the details were carefully designed to compliment soviet union ascetics.

 Most of exhibition equipment were customs made on military industry factories.

 Graphical/sculptural works are amazing. Solving so many tasks usually make the work either unreadable or simply ugly, but those ones look elegant and informative.
